HANDS ON RESEARCH for Artists, Designers & Educators, is a publication I made together with my colleagues Harma Staal and Jojanneke Gijsen at the Willem de Kooning Academy Rotterdam. The book is equal parts design and writing and comes out of some years worth of conversations, teaching and working with students across disciplines in art, design and creative production, from first year bachelor level to masters. We hope it’s a valuable resource for all students, teachers and professionals in the creative field, who want to start doing research, find a different way of doing research, or wish to reflect on their research practice in a hands on way.
